After its establishment, buffalograss has almost no need for irrigation, making it a great choice for western Nebraska lawns (which get less rainfall than the eastern part of the state). <\/p>
However, be mindful that because it is a warm-season turf, buffalograss has a shorter green period when compared to other cool-season lawns you may see in your neighborhood. While Kentucky bluegrass lawns have green foliage from April to November, buffalograss\u2019s green period goes from June to October.<\/p>
