Wait a couple more weeks if you live further north, like in <strong>Texarkana<\/strong> (<strong>fertilize around May 5<\/strong>)<strong> <\/strong>or <strong>Clarksville<\/strong> (<strong>fertilize around May 12)<\/strong>.<\/li> <\/ul>    <ul class=\"wp-block-list\"> <li><strong>Deep East Texas: <\/strong>Also fertilize around <strong>May 1<\/strong> in cities like <strong>Lufkin<\/strong> and <strong>Nacogdoches<\/strong>, as the last spring frost is mid to late March.<\/li> <\/ul>    <ul class=\"wp-block-list\"> <li><strong>Southeast Texas:<\/strong> <strong>Fertilize around<\/strong> <strong>April 9 <\/strong>in <strong>Beaumont<\/strong> and <strong>Port Arthur<\/strong>, where the last spring frost typically occurs on February 27.
