noopener\">4<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>    <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"methodology\"><span id=\"behind-the-survey\">Behind the survey<\/span><\/h2>    <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lawn Love collected survey responses from a random sample of 1,072 U.S. residents aged 18 or older via Alchemer and Cint on February 24, 2025.&nbsp;<\/p>    <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Out of this sample, 708 of the respondents said they have a lawn \u2014 616 of whom do not have a robot mower and 92 who own a robot lawn mower.<\/p>    <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each response was anonymized using a unique user ID generated and assigned by Cint.<\/p>    <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Note: This survey data does not stem from a probability sample, therefore no margin of error can be calculated.<\/p>    <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"turf-war-robots-vs-humans\">Turf war: Robots vs. humans<\/h2>    <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With concerns about the expense of robot mowers and capabilities of their lawn range and agility, it may be a while before the mowbots become a common sight in most neighborhoods.&nbsp;<\/p>    <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When it comes to automated grass trimming, the bigger the desired mow range, the more expensive the smart mower will likely be. Models like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.husqvarna.com\/us\/discover\/ceora\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Husqvarna CEORA<\/a> \u2014 designed for commercial use \u2014 can cover around 18 acres but will cost a steep $32,000.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>    <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the grass may literally be greener for homeowners with a smart mower. Preliminary research from the University of Kentucky shows that adopting robot mowers might even lead to healthier grass.&nbsp;<\/p>    <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One study found that using robot mowers <a href=\"https:\/\/ipss.ca.uky.edu\/files\/qian_sara_symposium_poster_2021.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">increased grass density<\/a> in comparison to rotary mowers. Results from another study show turf trimmed by robots <a href=\"https:\/\/scisoc.confex.com\/scisoc\/2020am\/c5\/eposterview.cgi?eposterid=68\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">grows greener<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>    <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some smart mowers on the market come with options for patterns like stripes or checkerboard lawns. New lawnbot models have \u201clawn printing\u201d capabilities, allowing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Lxry35W0dFo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">specialty designs<\/a> and even words cut into the turf, all from a few taps on your smartphone.<\/p>    <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Robots vs. humans?
