Professionalism also makes a big difference in how you run your business. Be there at a decent time, and make sure the customer knows what's going on. Also, make sure that you're dressed appropriately. I know it's outside work, but it gives a better impression when your clothes are neat.

What made you want to start a lawn care service?
I used to work with a family member when I was 11 years old until I was maybe about 16. In 2006, I started my own lawn care service.

What do you love most about being a lawn care provider?
I love being outside. I love nature and I love just being on different sides of town and seeing different scenery. Also, I can pretty much plan my own schedule.

What makes you a great lawn care provider?
Being a professional, my experience. I've been doing this for so long. I learned from my uncle who was doing it before smartphones, before a lot of technology, all the way back in the '80s.

What's your best lawn care tip?
Professionalism. Accidents happen, sometimes you’ll mess something up and it's about how you handle the situation. Keeping in touch with the customer, letting them know what's going on. With every job I try to double check, even triple check. When you're done, take five minutes and just look at everything that's in front of you, evaluate your work.

I treated the grass to prevent the weeds from taking over. This was an experience for me the first time it made me feel like a grass hero.
