I enjoy what I do as in lawn care. I'm very detailed in my work. I take my time and pride in it too. I'm pretty quick on my work performance and like my before and after looks of properties. But my goal is to win the customers' smiles and gratification.
Helo, my name is Oscar Pescador. I've been doing landscaping since I was 13 and have loved it ever since. I currently do this part-time and work full-time as a heavy machine operator for Sinacola, until I can branch out and make this my full-time job.

Although it wasn't incorporated until the mid-1950s, Coppell is one of the oldest communities in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth region. It was settled in the early 1830s, and its population size (and popularity) have grown tremendously since then. Today, Coppell is a progressive, award-winning city honored for its community spirit and welcoming atmosphere, its dedication to the arts and culture, and its participation in "National Night Out," which is a nationwide initiative to raise awareness of local emergency departments. With a defined town center, historical attractions, farmers market, and a number of other places to see, there's never a dull moment in this Dallas-Fort Worth neighborhood.
Coppell's Background
Unlike many neighboring towns and cities that were established by settlers from the US, Coppell was discovered (and settled) by immigrants from overseas. It was settled specifically by immigrants from France and Germany, who arrived in the area in the 1840s. These immigrants were joined by pioneers from the Peters Colony, who moved out to the area inspired by land grants from the US government.
Over the course of its history, the city has undergone several name changes. Initially, it was named Gibbs Station for a resident named Barnett Gibbs. Gibbs was also one of the town's lieutenant governors. However, the town was renamed later for an English immigrant George Coppell, who came to the area in the 1880s in search of land and the opportunity for commercial growth and development. Coppell was instrumental in the construction of the city's first railroad, which also expedited its growth. Some historical documents suggest that Coppell himself was an engineer, but other accounts indicate that he was merely a wealthy landowner who provided the resources for commercial and industrial development.
As with many towns in the area, Coppell began as a smaller community based primarily on agriculture and farming. It wasn't until much later, in the 1970s, that it transitioned to a more suburban setting. The change took place with the installation of the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, which brought jobs, more people, and tourism to the area in the 1970s. The city's previously vacant lots and open fields were turned into residential developments, and by the year 2000, nearly all of its unoccupied residential areas had been accounted for. Coppell's mixed landscape today is one of residential homes, transportation centers, and warehouses. Most of its commercial sector is located near the airport.
Events and Attractions
While Coppell's economy is based primarily on business today, elements of its once-rural and agricultural nature remain. However, as evidenced by the number of events that take place throughout the year, there is plenty in the way of modern activities, too.
Spring Music Series
Given the fact that arts and culture are a substantial part of its identity, it's not surprising that music is one of the city's most popular pastimes. In the spring, residents eagerly anticipate the arrival of the Spring Music Series, which takes place on weekends in March. Along with local bands, attendees can look forward to enjoying delicious food and refreshing drinks offered through local food trucks. The city's parks and recreation department also provides free popcorn.
Old Town Coppell
Old Town Coppell, otherwise known as the town center, comprises the historic district where the city had its first businesses. Today, the area is filled with restaurants, cafes, and local businesses. At the heart of the Old Town is a residential squire that houses the seasonal farmers market.
Coppell Farmers Market
Texas has a long growing season, which means that its farmers markets can stay open for longer than they do in most places. A combination of indoor and outdoor booths make it easy for visitors to explore the market and select their favorite products. Along with fresh fruit and vegetables, the market features vendors selling homemade goods and other specialty products. With several of the city's top restaurants in walking distance, it's a great starting point if you're planning to spend a day exploring the city.
Coppell was once a rural agricultural town characterized by open fields and working farms. Now, it has transformed significantly into a residential and business-friendly community. Although its landscape has changed from open spaces to buildings, the natural world is still part of its identity. Whether you want to start growing crops of your own or add to Coppell's beauty, fixing up your lawn and garden is essential. For tips and professional assistance on how to make that happen, get in touch with Lawn Love, Coppell's lawn care experts.
