Thank you for taking care of those ugly weeds in our flower beds. We desperately needed that bush gone from in front of the tree too. I appreciate your hard work and how quickly you got the job done too! Thank you again! Hopefully the weeds don’t come back anytime soon but we’ll schedule again when they do!

Robbie did an amazing job this week. I had a couple things last week that I asked him about and he did a great job doing them. He is always on time, he is efficient and he always is done in a very timely manner. I have never had a lawn service I have always handled my own grass, I have to say Robbie has done a really great job making my yard look beautiful. I am a widower and keeping up with the maintenance of my mowers and other equipment has not been easy so I really appreciate Robbia andI intend to use his services for the summers to come.

Cesar always does a great job with my lawn. Today he went above and beyond. I had some branches piled up along the side of the house and knew he wouldn’t be able to get the mower back there. I meet him when he arrived and explained that he would have to skip the backyard today because of the branches. He said he would just move them for me! Just very helpful when he didn’t have to be. It was very much appreciated!

Lawn Love’s Leaf Removal Service in Madison

Fall leaves are beautiful to look at but are a pain (sometimes literally) to rake, bag, or vacuum from your Madison lawn.

There is an easier, faster way: Lawn Love. Our lawn care pros in Madison are great at mowing but also handle leaf cleanup in the fall.

Lawn Love’s leaf removal price in Madison starts as low as $137 on average for up to 1 acre, but pricing is based on the size and amount of leaves on your lawn. Our pros rake or blow the leaves onto a tarp and then bag them.

Leaves usually start falling in late September in Madison, and leaf removal is needed through mid-October or until snow cover prevents collection. The City of Madison provides scheduled fall leaf pickup, with additional collections if conditions allow, and also offers yard waste drop-off sites since yard waste is banned from trash disposal.

The most common trees that shed leaves in Madison include:

  • Maple
  • Oak
  • Ash
  • Elm
  • Hickory

Leaf removal isn’t tied to just fall or winter in Madison. Lawns can accumulate leaves after extreme weather events like heavy winds and severe thunderstorms in any season, so we offer on-demand storm cleanup as well.

Bottom Line: Fall leaves are beautiful in Governor Nelson State Park, just not on your lawn.

Lawn Love Leaf Removal FAQ

How can leaves damage my lawn?

A thick layer of leaves:

  • Smothers grass. Leaves block the sun, water, and air your grass needs.
  • Spurs lawn diseases (such as snow molds, red thread, and brown patch).
  • Attracts pests (ants, termites, cockroaches, and rodents, for example).
  • Increases weeds. A thick layer of moist leaves fuels weed growth.
  • Lowers curb appeal. Your yard looks uncared for or like a lot of work to buyers.

How can you get rid of leaves in your yard?

  • Hire a leaf removal crew. Easiest option, saves time, energy, and possible backache.
  • Rake and bag leaves. This takes time and effort and can strain your back.
  • Blow leaves and then bag them. It takes less time, but can strain your knees.
  • Vacuum leaves. This takes even less time, but it’s a specialized and expensive service.
  • Mulch leaves. Mulching mowers make this easy, and mulched leaves add nutrients.

What to do with the leaves you clean up

Place bags of leaves at the curb for easy pickup.

  • Mulch them.
  • Compost them. Leaf mold is often called gardener’s gold.
  • Use them as insulation to protect root vegetables from the cold.

How much does leaf removal cost?

Your leaf removal price reflects these cost factors:

  • Yard size
  • Number of trees in your yard (more trees means more leaves)
  • Amount of leaves (dry or wet leaves and thin or thick layer covering your grass)
  • Leaf removal method (raking and bagging costs more because it takes more time)
  • Time of year (leaf removal prices are highest in fall, which is peak season)

How often should I have my leaves removed?

  • Biweekly or monthly leaf removal is common in the Upper Midwest, where yards tend to have more trees that drop their leaves in fall.

Give your yard some Lawn Love with our leaf removal service. Our local leaf cleanup pros are a few clicks or a quick call away.
