Bakersfield lawn care services
Bakersfield has very warm summers and mild winters, so it is safe to assume your lawn will continue to grow year-round. However, spring is still the time that you should consider taking care of your lawn in regards to bigger annual maintenance projects.
Overseeding is important for lawns that have dead patches. If you are laying a new lawn or filling in dead spots, spring is the time to do so. The warmer temperatures help the seeds germinate faster. Simply rake the areas of the lawn to get rid of the dead grass. Next, carefully spread the grass seed evenly before you water it. To keep birds from taking the seeds, cover the patches with straw.
Fertilizing your grass will give it more vitamins and nutrients before it starts growing in the warm weather. Look for fertilizer that contains these three important nutrients: nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus. Carefully follow the instructions that come with your fertilizer. A Bakersfield lawn fertilization company can come out and fertilize your lawn for you if you would rather leave it to the experts.
You'll want to start weeding your lawn in the springtime to get ahead of the problem before it gets worse. Use a pre-emergent herbicide first to stop the weeds from growing. For warm-season grasses, start using this treatment from the middle of February until March to benefit the most from it. You could also call a Bakersfield weed control company to help you if you are unsure of the procedure.
Early spring is the time to begin cleaning up dead leaves, twigs, tree limbs, and any other debris left over from winter storms. You may find that it can be overwhelming and tiresome to clear up all of the debris by yourself, especially if you have a large yard. A Bakersfield yard clean up lawn company will send out a team to do your dirty work for you if you need the help.
Storms can cause a build-up of debris in your gutters. Your gutters protect your home and landscaping, but cleaning them all by yourself can be a dirty, dangerous job. A Bakersfield gutter cleaning company will send out lawn care specialists who have the right equipment to take care of your gutters on a regular basis.
Lawn care in Bakersfield is an important part of owning a home. While it can be a time-consuming project, the end result will be a lawn you can be proud of. If you need help with your yard in Bakersfield, from lawn fertilization to weeding to mowing and more, let a professional company take over.
Professional Bakersfield lawn companies
Many homeowners and business owners enjoy spending time on their residential or commercial lawns. Unfortunately, not everyone has the time or knowledge to produce the lawn that they want. There are a number of reasons why hiring a lawn care company is better than doing it yourself.
Save time. One of the biggest reasons to hire a company to take care of your lawn is simple: time. With so many responsibilities heaped upon us every single day, you may not have the time you need for lawn care. Plus, you may be unsure of what works best for your lawn, and researching the many questions you have can take a long time. You'll also have to spend time driving to stores and buying what you need for your lawn, not to mention the time commitment to maintaining your yard once it gets going. A lawn care company can take away all the hassle and save you a ton of time. A Bakersfield yard clean up service will also take care of all the green waste, saving you the time it takes to bag everything up and dispose of it properly.
Save on costs. In order to produce the best lawn that you can in Bakersfield, you will need the right materials and equipment. Unfortunately, these things aren't always that cheap. You'll need a power aerator, leaf blower, rakes, clippers, a lawnmower, and more just to keep up with your lawn. You'll also have to purchase the right fertilizer and grass seed. A lawn care company will show up their own quality equipment and materials when they are called upon to take care of your lawn needs. You won't have to worry about spending money on equipment you may only use a couple of times a year.
Knowledge and liability. No matter how much you read up on lawn care, you may still have trouble making the right decisions for your area. A lawn care service will know exactly what to do in the climate you live in. There is a reason why people hire experts to complete jobs that they are unsure of how to do. Plus, the experts will take on the liability of the job. For example, climbing on an old ladder isn't the best idea when you want to clean your gutters. Calling a Bakersfield gutter cleaning crew in to take care of the chore is better for your health.
