The Lawn Lady opened in summer 2023. A friend asked if I could mow their lawn since their regular lawn service provider had become overbooked and was regularly several days late. She knew I have worked in the lawn care industry for several years. I've been learning and growing my skill set, but I hadn't ever worked for myself. I am a quality over quantity kind of person. When working for bigger companies, you sometimes can't give things the extra attention you want because you have to be onto the next property. When I completed my first lawn mowing job my way by my standards, it was so satisfying, and my friend's reaction was the push I needed. She was so thrilled with the results. She recommended me to her neighbors, and they all were just as happy. So I bought a riding mower and asked friends, family, and even neighbors if they needed regular service they could depend on. In just two weeks, I was fully booked for most of the summer. I have 4 awesome kids who already called me The Lawn Lady.
