Where did you grow up?
I'm Florida-born. I was born in Ft. Lauderdale, moved to central Florida when I was very young. That's where I got my connection with nature in Florida, because there's so much beauty.

What successes have you achieved from working in this industry?
Friendship, connection, and respect between a lawn service provider and the customer. I feel like they're happy with me, because they're getting a good service, and I appreciate them, so we have a mutual friendship.

What made you want to start a lawn care service?
After working for so many years, and learning everything about lawn care, and running these companies for these owners, being in those high positions, I made a big sacrifice, and I sold my Harley-Davidson. Because I don't come from a wealthy background, I was never able to get the loan or have the money that you need to start the business, so when I sold the Harley, I committed 100% that I was going to do this. By making that sacrifice, and using that money to buy equipment, get insurance and a license, I could go out and start to do this for myself and my family.

How did you learn to take care of a lawn?
When I was a younger kid, I learned from my family. My mother, and my grandmother were always out there, taking care of the yard. When I finished high school in 1999, I started working professionally for a landscaping company for Disney. I stayed with them for a couple of seasons, then I transferred to another area of landscaping, and learned irrigation installation. Then from there on, I always had a foreman position or a supervisor position.

What do you love most about being a lawn care provider?
I've always enjoyed working outside and being a part of nature. I've had this connection since I was a little kid.

What makes you a great lawn care provider?
Being great at something comes with lots of practice, passion, and experience; and I think those things helped shape me to be the best lawn provider I can be.

What's your best lawn care tip?
Go out there, never say no to any job, and do it the best you can. I promise, in a season or two, you're going to be happy and busy.

What do you usually do when you get home from a hot, long, work day?
Well, before, it would be, check the equipment, make sure everything's good for the next day, and then rest. Now, it's, as soon as I walk in the door, my son is ready for Papa. So even though I'm tired, I'm just so happy to be playing with him and enjoying being home with him.
