How do you beat the heat when working outside?
I always stay hydrated! The most important thing to do when working long hours in the heat is to drink plenty of fluids. When you dehydrate, you cramp which can cause injury, that’s why I keep a 5-gallon cooler that’s always full attached to the truck.

Have you ever rescued a lawn from certain death? How did you do it?
Of course! When moss takes ahold of your lawn, you're sure to kiss it goodbye. I had to cultivate, grade, lay new soil, grade again, seed, water, and hope for the best. About 1 and half months passed and we had ourselves a brand new lawn!

How did you get into lawn care?
I got my bachelors degree in nursing but I only followed through with it for 6 months. It was almost spring , I was jobless and a good friend of mine offered me to tag along with him to work with his lawn care business. After one season I knew I had the qualities and knoweledge to start my own , and I started with 5, now I’m at 65.
