If you are a real beach bum, and I mean that in the best sense of the word, then you will absolutely love all that living in Imperial Beach has to offer. San Diego is already an awesome city with all the various things it has to offer. However, when it comes to those who adore the water, the best place in California to live in is Imperial Beach.
For starters, take Imperial Beach Pier for instance. There is just so much to do that you can make an entire day of it. There's surfing, fishing, horseback riding, bicycling, of course, swimming and even bird watching. This beach not only offers you lots of variety as far as activities go, but it is also absolutely gorgeous.
Aside from the views, they also host many events like triathlons, a fish derby, and so much more. Nearby is a surfboard museum, sandcastle art, and other forms of culture. There are also some shops and restaurants close by as well. However, one of the favorite pastimes of many of the beachgoers is hanging out on the pier and enjoying the scenic views.
If you are a water lover but prefer a more controlled environment for aquatic fun, then you would love hanging out at Aquatica San Diego, which is only a few miles away from Imperial Beach. This is such a great place to frequent during the summer while the kids are out of school. And just a fun-filled place even for adults. There are so many fun rides and so much to do at this water park that you will have to come back multiple times during summer break.
They even have multiple passenger rides such as Tassie's Twister and Walhalla Wave where you can share in the thrill and experience with your group of friends. And if thrill seeking isn't your thing, there are plenty of rides that allow you to float and relax while enjoying the scenery, sun, and environment.
Even the food here is above par as they offer more than the typical hamburger and fries. You can actually indulge in some chicken alfredo, roasted corn, and even tofu while sipping on a delicious alcoholic beverage as well. This place is so awesome for families especially as it provides entertainment for children and parents. After a day spent at Aquatic San Diego, your kids will be so worn out that they'll be asleep before their heads even hit the pillow.
Not only are there so many family-friendly activities for Imperial Beach families, but there are many activities for couples as well. The Lamb's Players Theatre is an awesome place to go for a lovely date night as this theatre has so many different types of plays and shows that are cultural, educational, and entertaining. While they do offer shows for children as well, the Lamb's Players Theatre really makes for a nice and quick getaway for mom and dad for a few hours. Afterward, the two of you can head on over to one of the restaurants that are just within walking distance and have a delicious meal with drinks to make for a lovely evening.
Living in Imperial Beach makes any outing, even if it's last minute, super convenient, easy, and quick. Las Americas Premium Outlets is a few miles away and has almost everything and every store you could want or imagine.
This shopping plaza is huge and houses some of the top designer brands such as Armani, BCGG Maxazria, Brooks Brothers, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Cole Haan, and much more! With so many quality brands and an array of shops from The Body Shop to Claire's, just shopping in itself can be a form of entertainment. The best part is that the food options are plentiful and perfect for recharging after all of that shopping has worn you out.
