Lawn Care in Boca Raton

Whether you are trying to maintain your lawn or are starting over from scratch, you might be surprised to learn that there are a lot of options when it comes to picking your grass. You'll want to learn about your lawn before you make the choice. For example, consider the pH of your soil, whether or not your lawn will get a lot of foot traffic, and what type of irrigation will be used. Read on for some information concerning lawn care in Boca Raton and what grass is best. If you need more help, a Boca Raton lawn service would be happy to assist you.

Bermuda grass is a very popular choice in Boca Raton. It grows rapidly in most types of soil but can be sensitive to pests, shade, and colder temperatures. The roots of Bermuda grass grow deep into the soil, making it very resistant to drought and weeds. It's also a great choice for homeowners who own pets and have children, as it is resistant to foot traffic. You'll often see Bermuda grass on sports fields and golf courses.

St. Augustine grass is another favorite of Boca Raton homeowners, as it enjoys the heat and is very resistant to drought conditions. This type of grass can also tolerate higher levels of salt, perfect for homes in this area. The blades are broad, flat, and blue-green. St. Augustine will establish quickly and will grow rapidly. It is not a big fan of shade and cold, and this type of grass is susceptible to common pests.

If you're looking for a low maintenance grass, then Centipede grass will be a great investment. It grows low to the ground and will not require as much mowing as others. It also thrives in both sun and shade, and it will even grow heartily in colder temperatures. You may just need a little extra fertilizer to keep the yellow-green blades healthy and happy. Just remember, this type of grass cannot handle high levels of traffic, and it is more susceptible to ground pearls and nematodes than other varieties.

Bahia grass grows well in hot, dry areas and sandy soils. You won't need a lot of fertilization or irrigation for it to grow well. This makes it a great choice for those who have large yards or a lot of acres to maintain. Bahia grass will go dormant when there are drought conditions but will come back when the weather gets nicer.

Don't worry if you are unsure of what type of grass is growing on your property. A Boca Raton lawn service company can come out to you and figure out just what you have and what you need. Additionally, a Boca Raton fertilization company can help you start and maintain the best lawn possible.

Boca Raton lawn care tips

Since Florida has hot summers and generally mild winters, it is safe to assume your yard and property will grow year-round. However, the spring months are still the best time to start seriously taking care of your lawn so that you can have a beautiful one all summer long. Take some of these lawn care tips into consideration, or call a Boca Raton lawn service company for more help.

You'll want to make sure that you fertilize your grass to give it the nutrients and vitamins it needs to grow well when the weather gets hot. Your fertilizer should contain potassium, phosphorus, and nitrogen. If you need assistance, a Boca Raton fertilization company can help.

Spring is also the time to start cleaning up your yard and garden and preparing it for the growing season. A Boca Raton yard clean up company can help you get rid of leaves, brush, sticks, and other green materials. Cleaning away debris will help your grass grow better and your garden thrive. So don't hesitate to get some extra help from a Boca Raton yard clean up company today.

While you may have gotten all of the debris taken care of in the spring, you can count on weeds to start growing throughout the warmer months. If you can't keep up with all of the weeds sprouting in your garden or throughout your lawn, let a Boca Raton weed control company help. You can set up a one-time appointment or schedule recurring visits if your weeds are getting the best of you.

You will also want to take the time to check your gutters. Cleaning them on your own is dangerous, especially if you don't have the proper equipment to reach them. Your gutters may be too high for a regular ladder to reach, or you may be in poor health and unable to make the climb. A lawn care company will have the proper equipment to clean out your gutters, protecting your home and landscaping.

Follow these lawn care tips and enjoy a beautiful lawn. The end result will be a beautiful space that you can be proud of. Don't hesitate to call a Boca Raton lawn service if you need a little extra help.

You may have noticed the many immaculately kept lawns while you drive through Boca Raton. That's likely because many homeowners have turned to Lawn Love for help with their lawns.
