John started in the lawn maintenance business in 1990 as a high school student. He opened his own company in 1993 after returning home from Marine Corps training and ran it until 1995, when he turned his focus to college. He graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1999 and began a career as a project manager for a commercial construction firm in Austin. During that time, he managed multi-million dollar projects for clients including the University of Texas and H-E-B, as well as many public jobs. After almost 15 years in general contracting, he realized that he missed working for himself. John's company was founded in 2013 as a full service landscape company and has served homeowners and property managers in the San Antonio and New Braunfels area.
