It features a magical bus, a castle, a log cabin, a boat, an elephant, a rocket, a climbing wall, bridges, slides, sings, public art, and more. Children don't believe their eyes when they see this magical place.
Suwanee Creek Park and Greenway
This beautiful park bordering Suwanee Creek is an ideal spot for family reunions, picnics, and weekend afternoons. The 85-acre park is located at 1170 Buford Highway, and it's been mostly left in its natural condition, giving you tons of greenery and nature to explore. At the park, you'll find an 18-hole Disc Golf Course, two pavilions, picnic tables, an outdoor classroom, and tons of space to explore and reconnect with nature. Plus, the Suwanee Creek Park connects to the Suwanee Greenway, a hard-surface, multipurpose trail that winds through four miles of stunning wooded areas and wetlands, all home to wildlife. Whether you want to work up a sweat or take a stroll through nature, the greenway connects almost 400 acres of park, as well as residential and commercial areas.
Bushy Creek Trail
Adventure through the heavily wooded Bushy Creek Trail that makes its way along Bushy Creek, using a combination of concrete and boardwalk to provide a safe and accessible trail for all. The path is a one-mile multi-use trail, and it connects Suwanee Dam Road at Delay Road to Stonecypher Road near Main Street. This greenway is ideal for younger children because it is shorter and the heavily forested area creates a pleasant shade, so everyone stays cool, even on hot summer days. The Bushy Creek Trail also connects to Playtown Suwanee and the public library, so you can easily make a fun day full of activities for your family.
Staying Green in Suwanee
It's no secret that the seasons can turn your beautiful lawn and garden into a muddy, dead mess. Fall begins the slow death of most plants, and winter's freezes and thaws can turn the solid ground into mud. Then, the torrential downpours of spring only further the muddied ground. And if you have kids running around on your lawn or sports field, you know how much damage that does to sod. Then, the summer scorches the life out of the plants, often depriving them of water.
